Supplemental Network Discounts: Detailed Savings Reports
Some vendors inflate their results
Some out-of-network savings vendors report their discounts in a "homogenized" fashion. This means they mix the results of multiple discount programs and imply that each individual service produces the aggregate result. While seeing the total of all savings programs can be helpful, mixing the discounts they receive through supplemental networks with claim-by-claim fee negotiation could inflate their fee negotiation results.
